Registration cost for the meeting is only $495. Lodging and meals are available separately for $118.50/night (double) or $132/night (single) including food. Please note that we expect all attendees to attend the whole meeting so you should plan on checking in on the afternoon of August 13 and out on the morning of August 17.
Please note: All participants will stay in the UCSC dormitories and reservations will only be made through the above link. If anyone calls you saying they will book reservations at a hotel for you, then it is a scam.
SCDB Young Investigator Award
If you are a postdoctoral trainee or graduate student, and you would like to be considered for the SCDB Young Investigator Award, we strongly encourage you to submit your CV along with your abstract to email@example.com. The SCDB Young Investigator Awardee will speak in the opening session, receive free registration and housing, a $500 award, and an interview published in Development! This award is sponsored by Development.
Depending on funds, a limited number of scholarships will be available for postbacs, masters, graduate students and postdocs to offset the costs of attending the meeting. To be considered, you must submit an abstract to present either a talk or a poster at the meeting. Please note that these scholarships are intended for trainess who have limited means of support, and who might not otherwise be able to attend.

Please note that there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee plus a 3% credit card transaction fee to cancel a registration less than 14 days prior to the conference.
Refunds to registrations more than two weeks prior to the conference will incur a 3% transaction fee.
Abstracts should contain a title, authors, affiliations, and a ~1/2 page summary of the work. They will be used for choosing additional speakers for the sessions, and assembled into an abstract book for the conference. We aim to choose abstracts for talks by early July.
